ABOUT ME.

My name is Anabelle, I was born in Mexico and spent my childhood in Salinas, CA.  I'm the middle child of three in a first generation of immigrants.  I come from a very tight knit family, I adore and embrace my culture and hope to pass on the richness of it to my little ones.   

  I now reside in the City of Angels, and if I'm being super specific the City of Roses.  Everything LA has to offer is why my heart is here; culture, diversity, and friends that have become family and being able to share it all with my son Dom and daughter Camila is why I'm proud to call it home.   Becoming a mom rocked my world, lifestyle and perspective on everything, my purpose are my kids and my passion is art. Being creative in all shapes and forms fills me and brings me all that corny type of happy.

      I'm a hairstylist, so to no surprise I use peoples hair as my canvas.  I decided to start a small kids T-shirt company during the pandemic because, to be quite honest, I felt like I was losing my creative flow and stuck in this 24/7 trance of covid living. . I love being a mama but in order to keep my creative flow rolling I knew I had to shift a little bit of my energy back to something that gave me a perfect balance between being creative and being in "Mom Mode".  

 

     Since my son, Dom, was born I have been so picky with kid clothes! I rarely found shirts for him I liked and he always pointed to all the cartoon tees everywhere we went and I cringed!  So here it is, a little art project that snowballed into a t-shirt company inspired by my son hence the name "Dom|n|co."  but now that I have a daughter I might be brainstorming new company names and have her in the mix.   Now having my daughter my taste for girl clothes has also been a huge influence.  Camila Rue has an edge so a lot of inso she's bringing out of me.   Hopefully the tees I make don't make you roll your eyes the way  I did when I saw shirts that said  "Mommy's angel" or "My mom is a superstar". LOL

  Re-vamping, non-toxic dying, and printing comfort tees is a lot of what you will see with every collection.
